No. Lyric Genie at lyric-genie.com is a web app, created by Megan Ruthven, that runs in the browser on your phone, tablet, or computer. It has no app in the App Store, and it is not affiliated with any iPhone, iPad, or Mac app that has a similar name. To use it, open lyric-genie.com/chat in any browser.

Yes. Tap the microphone in the chat and record a voice message of up to 5 minutes. Talk through the story, sing a line, or hum the melody you have in your head. The Genie picks up on the tune, the rhythm, and the feeling, not just the words.

Then paste the song's link back into Lyric Genie so it plays next to your lyrics.

Not really. Lyric Genie is built for personal, occasion-based songs (a song for a specific person, party, or moment). If you want generic chart-style lyrics with no occasion behind them, a general-purpose AI chatbot will do that just as well.

Three differences. First, the chat is built around occasions, so the Genie asks for the details (relationship, milestone, vibe) that make a personal song actually land. Second, every lyric set is saved to your account so you can re-open, edit, and reshare; Suno does not save editable lyrics outside the generated track. Third, you get a matching Suno style prompt with the lyrics, not separately.

Absolutely. After the Genie summons your lyrics, you can fully edit them in the built-in editor. Change words, rearrange sections, or keep chatting with the Genie to refine things until they're exactly what you want. Earlier versions are kept too, so you can go back to one you liked better.

Yes. Every song has a Share button that gives you a link to a page with your lyrics. If you've added your Suno link, the song plays on that page too. Songs stay private until you share them. Once shared, anyone with the link can see the page, and it can show up in search results.

Yes! Just tell the Genie what style you're going for in your chat. Mention genres like rock, pop, country, rap, or anything else and the Genie will tailor the lyrics to match.
